Reflection – You Are Precious in His Sight
There are days when the world tries to define your worth by what you have, how you look, or what you do. But today’s reflection clears away all that noise. You are precious to God—not because of anything you’ve earned, but because of who you are: His beloved.
In the First Reading, Joseph reassures his brothers:
“Do not be afraid. Even though you intended harm, God intended it for good.”
Joseph sees with the eyes of mercy. He speaks the language of love, not vengeance. That is how God sees you too. No mistake, no failure, no betrayal can undo your dignity in His eyes.
Jesus affirms this in today’s Gospel. He urges His disciples not to fear—even in the face of persecution or rejection. Why? Because they are known and loved by the Father. Even the hairs on their heads are counted.
Fr. Bruno Ihekaozor, C.S.Sp, reflects this beautifully:
“You are precious in the sight of God. You have been bought by the precious blood of His Son. Do not let worry steal your joy. Take your problems to the Lord.”
This is not a sentimental message. It is a lifeline.
When anxiety creeps in, when your heart feels heavy, when it seems like no one sees your pain—God does. And not only does He see it—He calls you His own.
So, breathe. Rest. Lay it down before Him.
You are worth the blood of Christ. That is your identity. That is your anchor.

Prayer
Father,
I often forget how deeply You love me.
When worry clouds my heart, remind me that I am Yours.
Let me live each day knowing I was bought with a price—
the blood of Jesus.
Teach me to rest in that truth and bring every burden to You.
Amen.
